What is a DTP Game?

In the world of boardgame publishing, this designation of a desktop published game is given to smaller outfits that release games with components that are not mass printed, they do not come in a box, and most importantly they do not have die-cut counters. Other than that, a DTP game isn't that much different than a mass produced game. Both have maps, rules, tables, charts, cards, counters and markers.
DTP games typically don't go out of print as they can be printed in smaller quantities as needed. Game companies print so many and then that's it. Most DTP games are released by people with full-time jobs outside the hobby who publish games because they enjoy designing and publishing them and want to share their designs with the wargame community.

I am pushing the limits of a DTP game. My games come boxed. My components, while not mass printed, are good quality. I am providing counters and markers that are already mounted and cut out, thus eliminating the need for glueing them to cardboard sheets and cutting them out that most DTP games still require.
